"This article provides a new perspective regarding historical issues and the textual connections between the Crónica mexicayotl and the hypothetically lost source with Mexica Tenocha origin, commonly known as the Crónica X. This work presents an exhaustive revision, not only of the previous literature, but also of the available data and analysis associated with the Crónica X, the Crónica Mexicayotl, and the Crónica mexicana, as well as a specific comparison between these last two documents."

"El presente artículo propone un avance en las discusiones sobre los problemas historiográficos y las relaciones textuales entre la Crónica mexicáyotl y la hipotética fuente perdida de origen mexica tenochca conocida con el sugestivo nombre de Crónica X. A través de una revisión de las opiniones de los expertos y de los datos disponibles acerca de la Crónica X, de la Crónica mexicáyotl y de la Crónica mexicana, y a un cotejo entre estos dos últimos documentos, se pudo armar una nueva hipótesis de trabajo."
