Tamoanchan: una imagen verbal del origen

Abstract

"Mythical place symbolically defined in narrative accounts, images and rituals, Tamoanchan can also be situated in the sonorous dimension of the term that refers it. To the acoustic hierophany of the word should be added an etymological root, which might provide information on the original meaning of the concept. After some general considerations about a Pre-hispanic “theology” of sounds, we will analyze the term which designs the place/concept known as Tamoanchan, in nahuatl and teenek languages."

A la hierofanía acústica de la palabra se añade su arraigo etimológico, el cual manifiesta el tenor primigenio del concepto. Después de algunas consideraciones generales sobre una “teología” prehispánica del sonido, analizaremos el término que designa el lugar/concepto mítico indígena conocido como Tamoanchan, desde los ámbitos lingüísticos náhuatl y téenek."
