El saber histórico como acontecimiento: circularidad y operación sistémica

Abstract

"Si la historia desde el siglo XIX se presenta como ciencia de los acontecimientos, esto es posible porque ella misma resulta ser un acontecimiento histórico. La circularidad así planteada busca ser explorada en el presente trabajo. Dicha circularidad define la condición operativa de la disciplina histórica en un marco sistémico, donde sus cualidades cognitivas pueden ser descritas en dos grandes aspectos. Primero, en cuanto a los rasgos epistemológicos que presenta desde su marco de emergencia (siglo XIX). Aquí la hipótesis considera que su naturaleza y límites cognitivos pueden ser explicados si se atiene a su determinación social: ser un orden emergente en el marco de una sociedad funcionalmente diferenciada. Segundo, si la historia es una ciencia que encuentra en los eventos su legitimación, no se trata de otra cosa que del orden interno de una operación antes que una visión ontológica de la realidad. Por ello los acontecimientos de los que se trata los construye como eventos estructurados a partir de su propia lógica interna."

"If history has been presented as the science of events since the nineteenth century it is because history itself is an historical event. Posited in this way, circularity will be the aim of exploration in this paper. Circularity defines the operative condition of historical discipline on a systemic framework, where its cognitive abilities could be described on two main aspects. First, in terms of the epistemological features presented from a framework of emergency (XIX Century). The hypothesis here considers that its nature and cognitive limits can be explained if it stays close to its social determination: to be an emerging order in the context of a functionally differentiated society. And the second, if history is a science that in events finds it legitimacy, then it is not about anything but the internal order of an operation well before an ontological view of reality. Therefore, the events that it works on are constructed as events structured through its own internal logic."
