Abstract
The gods Quetzalcoatl and Tezcatlipoca were widely worshiped throughout Mesoamerica. Based on an analysis of selected ethnohistorical accounts, this paper explores the significance of the gods’ presence in Cuauhquechollan to the city-states of Tenochtitlan, Tlaxcallan and Tetzcoco
 
Los dioses Quetzalcóatl y Tezcatlipoca fueron ampliamente reconocidos en toda Mesoamérica. Con base en el análisis de una selección de informes etnohistóricos, el artículo explora la importancia de la presencia estos dioses en Cuauhquechollan para las ciudades-estado de Tenochtitlan, Tlaxcallan y Tetzoco
