Abstract
This work analyzes the principal details of the expeditions implemented for the diffusion of inoculation and vaccinations against smallpox in New Spain between 1797 and 1813. Also, it tries to show that novo hispanic participation was very important and that it determined a different dynamic in the prevention of the disease.
 
Este trabajo analiza los principales detalles de las expediciones implementadas para la difusión de la inoculación y vacunación contra la viruela en la Nueva España entre 1797 y 1813. Asimismo, intenta demostrar que la participación novohispana fue muy importante y que determinó una dinámica diferente en la prevención de la enfermedad
