Etnocentrismo y la Historia Tolteca Chichimeca

Abstract

This article analyzes the Nahua and Pinome narrative traditions in the Cuauhtinchan region during the 16th century, focusing on the Historia Tolteca Chichimeca. It examines the central role of the figure of Moquiuix and his lineage, as well as the process of historical revisionism and territorial legitimization reflected in this work. Additionally, it discusses the notion of narrative ethnocentrism and the role of historical revisionism in the construction of identities and visions of power within a multiethnic and borderland context

Este artículo analiza las tradiciones narrativas nahua y pinome en la región de Cuauhtinchan durante el siglo XVI, enfocándose en la Historia Tolteca Chichimeca. Examina el papel central de la figura de Moquiuix y su linaje, así como el proceso de revisión histórica y legitimación territorial que se refleja en esta obra. Además, se discute la noción de etnocentrismo narrativo y el papel del revisionismo histórico en la construcción de identidades y visiones de poder en un contexto multiétnico y fronterizo
