Tributación y festivales: Códice Azoyú 2 y Humboldt Fragmento 1

Abstract

This article analyzes the history, taxation, and festivals of the Tlapaneca, Mixtec, and Nahua peoples in the kingdom of Tlachinollan, located in the current east-central region of Guerrero, Mexico. Based on the study of the Azoyú and Humboldt codices, the Tlapaneca calendar is reconstructed and agricultural rites, ceremonies, and tribute collection related to annual festivals are examined. The text also contextualizes the period of Mexica domination and the impact of the Spanish conquest on the social and political organization of this region

Este artículo analiza la historia, tributación y festivales de los pueblos tlapaneca, mixteca y nahua en el reino de Tlachinollan, ubicado en la actual región centro-oriente de Guerrero, México. A partir del estudio de los códices Azoyú y Humboldt, se reconstruye el calendario tlapaneca y se examinan ritos agrícolas, ceremonias y la recaudación de tributos en relación con las festividades anuales. El texto también contextualiza el periodo de dominación mexica y el impacto de la conquista española en la organización social y política de esta región
