Abstract
This study examines the close relationship between artisanal trades and religion in Aztec civilization, highlighting how mythology and patron deities influenced the development and prestige of various professions. It also addresses cultural continuity from earlier Mesoamerican civilizations and its impact on artisanal practices
 
Este estudio analiza la estrecha relación entre los oficios artesanales y la religión en la civilización azteca, destacando cómo la mitología y las divinidades tutelares influyeron en el desarrollo y prestigio de diversas profesiones. Se aborda también la continuidad cultural desde civilizaciones mesoamericanas anteriores y su repercusión en las prácticas artesanales
