Abstract
The Codex Tlaxcala is a 16th-century manuscript compiling Diego Muñoz Camargo’s alphabetical description and pictographic drawings of the city and province of Tlaxcala. This work emphasizes Tlaxcala’s political and military role during the Spanish conquest, blending indigenous and European sources to promote the Tlaxcalan elite’s interests before the Spanish Crown El Codex Tlaxcala es un manuscrito del siglo XVI que recopila la descripción alfabética y dibujos pictográficos de Diego Muñoz Camargo sobre la ciudad y provincia de Tlaxcala. Esta obra resalta el papel político y militar de Tlaxcala durante la conquista española, combinando fuentes indígenas y europeas para promover los intereses de la élite tlaxcalteca ante la Corona española
