"From 1914 Onward is a journey through the major events of the 20th century, its key figures, historical transformations, and technological advances that redefined the world. The lecture also explores parallels between the historical processes of Europe and Mexico, with special focus on the year 1939 as a turning point marked by the beginning of World War II The lecture was recorded on April 23, 2014, and is part of the series The Historian in the Face of History 2014. Themes of the 20th Century, organized annually by the Instituto de Investigaciones Históricas of UNAM. This series brings together prominent historians and humanists to reflect on the major topics of recent history"
